Thanks Whitney
It's Wednesday evening and if you aren't tuned in to PBS you're doing something wrong. Yup, American Ballroom Challenge has been on our calendar for weeks and it was well worth it. Tonight's American Smooth competition featured dances to none other than "Gangster's Paradise" and "We are Siamese." It was co-hosted by Jasmine Guy. All of Whitney's sass without much ballroom know-how.

Would you like to add extra insurance?
In an unfortunate twist, we lost our heat during the coldest weekend of the year. Conveniently we also had visitors. In one of our many conversations with the landlord, she mentioned that she'd like to see us have a rug in the kitchen. She actually had one in mind that has been hanging out in her basement, "it is green and grey and will go very good in your kitchen. It will match." While she's right in it matching our countertops, she didn't mention the part about corporate sponsorship.

Olive Paste? Not Tapenade.
We just learned a fun fact. Olive oil should be kept above 9 degrees C to keep from solidifying. That converts to 48 degrees F. Sadly, our oil is not pourable these days. Brrr.

We are not Champions
Today we spent three hours driving in the first wintry mix of the season. The destination was an open casting call for the Amazing Race at Champion Window, Patio and Siding. We didn't make it because we couldn't find it. Co-Pilot left the directions as home. We don't deserve to be on the Amazing Race. We will leave the Race to goths, lesbians and father/daughter teams that have issues to work out.
